a friend of mine and comment on your video noted "this song really does make me feel like i'm drowning, it takes my breath away." and honestly, that's accurate.

other comments mention that it takes a while to build up but i'm honestly in support of that -- anyone who's ever held their breath underwater can attest to the fact that it really is a building panic, and you've encapsulated that well. furthermore, the slight power decrease throughout the song's peak, before exponentially fading to nothing but water, makes that effect a hell of a lot more terrifying. even the addition of the film rolling, which i see as one's brain cycling through memories in its final moments, adds much more impact to that; though, it is definitely a bit loud.

i'll admit that drowning is a touchy subject for me, so that's as far as i'll go. but from a critical standpoint (my favorites admittedly lie elsewhere,) this is your best work, perhaps second to windglass -- but it's awfully close.

this song makes me feel genuine fear which is absolutely an accomplishment big enough to warrant 5 stars

After all, this is music for the horror game =)

newgrounds says "Scoring high? Tell us what you loved and why!" but i'd be here all day if i did that. this is perfect

i didn't know how to word it then and i honestly still don't but, if i were to try, i'd say that you've created a work of art. i love it, every last bit, the emotions it incites from me, the arrangement, it's wonderful. it's amazing.

i'd love to know which game the arcana mod is for since i'd like to know if it's available or what game it's for. (also in spite of the description, the licensing terms are creative commons - is this intentional?)

It was a modding project for Minecraft - the goal was just to create a fun magic mod, but it didn't work out (and that's okay!)

i genuinely appreciate the words, thank you, they mean so much

i don't usually leave reviews anymore (bc i'm bad at them lmao) but this is really good, i'll admit i personally don't like the slowdown at the end but everything else is top notch. really well done

i'm aware i JUST told you all this over discord, but to plop it here for the sake of review:

this is absolutely fucking phenomenal.
a minor nitpick is that some parts definitely feel like they drag on a little long, and it could generally be condensed. 4:02 - 4:55, 5:35 - 6:32, 7:14 - 8:30 (around there anyway.)

the only actual flaw i can spot is the wrap-around at the very end (14:22 onwards) breaks the whole journey aspect of it to me, the immersion if you will. it feels like the song just looped and considering the epilogue piano before it, it just feels sudden and inappropriate.

everything else is honest to god flawless. i'd put it at a 9.5/10 personally which is close enough to 5/5 so YAY U WIN

god damnit

My review may be 1 star but I assure you it is not out of malicious intent. This star represents the absolute, top-tier quality of this song. A shining beacon at the top of a Christmas tree... on top of a mountain. The glittering shining out of the star represents every note, and how perfectly placed it is. The shape of the star represents pristineness, the perfect length, the perfect tempo, everything about this song is simply delightful. Which is why it's only 1 star... because it's #1. In my heart, in your hearts, in the hearts of GeoStorm and everyone else who has ever played Geometry Dash... it is, objectively, undeniably, number 1.

7/10

I love it.
